Love Art Gallery!

We're honored for the opportunity to show our artwork in a new gallery starting Friday, May 22nd. Love Art Gallery will be opening their doors from 10 am to 8 pm for a "soft opening". We're excited to get a chance to meet some of the other artist who will be showing their work at Love Art. The official Grand Opening will be on Friday, June 5th to coincide with Sellwood's First Friday Art Quest. The Gallery will be hosting a reception at 6 pm. I'll post more details on the grand opening as it approaches.

The Gallery is located at 8036 SE 13th Street and sits at the corner of 13th & Spokane in Sellwood. The regular operating hours will be Tues-Wed-Thurs 10 am to 6pm, Fri-Sat 10 am to 8 pm, Sun 11 am to 5 pm and closed on Mondays.

Lisa and I will be at the Gallery in the early evening on the 22nd, so if anyone wants to pop in and say hi we'd love to see you!. We're really looking forward to working with the wonderful people at Love Art Gallery, it's going to be a great addition to Sellwood and Portland as a whole. So even if you can't make it in on Friday, be sure to make some time to check out this unique new Gallery.

We Heart Craig's List

How about an update on our art activities? We just placed an ad on Craig's List today. We figured just because our pieces aren't hanging in a gallery at the moment is no reason for them to be sitting in a dark corner. Well, they're still sitting in a dark corner, but at least Portlanders have a chance to buy them. We should have the Portland Series hanging in a lovely new gallery in Sellwood by the end of the month. We'll let you know when all the details are nailed down, pun intended, of course. As usual, the wee hours are upon us, and it's time to say good night.

Our First Art Show

We had a great time mingling with family, friends and well wishers. This was the same morning as the Shamrock Run, so we had some traffic issues, but everyone made it eventually. Below is the first piece we sold, thanks to our first paying client, we know it'll look great in your beautiful house.
We got alot of compliments and some good feedback. It's great to learn from people who have been doing this far longer than we have. City Bean was the perfect setting for our first show, Thanks Darla and Elizabeth, you're awesome. Everything was perfect....great coffee, excellent pastries, and in our opinion the best Baristas in the city.

We had a great time and want to thank everyone who came out to support our new venture into the world of art. Stay tuned for the next public showing, which should be sometime soon. SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!! We still have several pieces from this show that are currently for sale. Mother's Day is fast approaching, and Father's Day, and many other great opportunities to give someone you love a unique one of a kind gift.....just so you know!

Art Show This Sunday

Our show is fast approaching, and we're really excited! We hung all 13 pieces this last Saturday, so our work can be seen gracing the walls of City Bean Coffee in downtown Portland at 16th & Jefferson. It's really great seeing it up on those walls! Portland Series I

Here are our first 3 pieces in the Portland series. I"ll post more of the series in the next few days. You can find these hanging at City Bean Coffee, along with the rest of the series, starting on Sunday, March 8th. The series will be on display for the month of March. We will have a show on the 15th from 10am to 2pm.

Wee Hours First Art Show

Tomorrow I'll upload some pictures of our artwork. These pieces will be showing at our first art show next weekend. The show will be at City Bean Coffee in Portland this coming Sunday, March 15th, from 10am to 2pm. Our artwork will be gracing the walls of City Bean for the month of March. We're so excited!
